Casio have announced the lastest addition to the G-Shock MR-G line at Baselworld 2012. The G-Shock MRG-8101JP is due August 2012 and is limited to 50 pieces, the all new new model is set to top the G-shock range with a retail of ¥630000 - around USD$7665 / GBP£4900 :eek:! Casio Japan are dropping ten new Baby-G models for March 2012. The highlights are the black BG-5606-1JF, white BG-5606-7JF and black BLX-100-1FJF all of which are part of the 'Solid Colors' pack with corresponding models in the March 2012 G-Shock new releases. G-Shock are releasing the all new G-Shock GLX-150 as part of the surfing / watersport themed G-Lide range. The all new G-Shock GLX-150 is expected April or May 2012 and is initially seeing a release in four colorways with the In4mation x G-Shock GLX-150 G-Lide collaboration (which we previews last month) due June 2012. The key features on the G-Shock GLX-150 are the moon phase and tide graph functions along with the dual displays which feature both negative and positive LCD segments. Casio are set to release an all new model for 2012, the G-Shock GA-150. The all new G-Shock GA-150 will see an initial release in black (GA-150-1A) and white (GA-150-7A) with brighter red (GA-150-4A), green (GA-150-3A) and blue (GA-150-2A) models set to follow. The GA-150 features an analogue display with two digital segments to the display, one at 12 o'clock and one at 6 o'clock. It also features a full LED backlight. Casio Japan have today (March 7th 2012) officially announced the release of the G-Shock GW-A1000 which is the first G-Shock to feature Casio's innovative Smart Access system. The specification also indicates the G-Shock GW-A1000 is set to have a thermometer. The latest addition to the G-Shock aviator series is the G-Shock GW-A1000 series which is due for release April and May 2012. The big news on the range topping GW-A1000 is the (expected) use of Casio's all new Smart Access system, the first time this system has been seen on a G-Shock model. The "Smart Access" system drives the three main hands independently thus allowing rapid hand movement and almost seamless switching between functions, further the crown also operates as a button. Previously this system has been seen on the EQW-A1000 Edifice, ProTrek PRX-7000T and Oceanus OCW-T1000 Series. March 2012 sees one new Protrek models dropping, the ProTrek PRW-5100-1BJF. The ProTrek PRW-5100-1BJF is a new colorway for the analog PRW-5100 line with green accents on the all black case and dial. The main feature is the headline black ion plating and sapphire crystal. Other feature include a stainless band, tough solar charging, multiband 6 and of course the ProTrek triple sensors. Casio have teamed up with the Royal Air Force (the aerial warfare service branch of the British Armed Forces) on the Royal Air Force x G-Shock GW-A1000RAF-1AJR which is due April / May 2012. This follows on from various other aviation themed models and collaborations including the G-Shock GW-4000 and Men's File x G-Shock GW-3000 Leatherback. Casio Japan have today announced they will be releasing the all analog ProTrek PRX-7000T Manaslu Edition* on 6th April 2012 in Japan. The all new ProTrek features the Smart Access system released by Casio last year which allows the PRX-7000 show pressure, temperature, compass and altitude on the analog display. The ProTrek PRX-7000 features a titanium bezel and back cover, titanium carbide treated band and sapphire glass crystal. The watch also features tough solar, multiband 6, EL backlight and stopwatch along with an alarm. The PRX-7000 weighs in at 120 grams and measures 57 x 50.1 x 14 mm so it's BIG. L.A. based lifestyle project The Hundreds have collaborated with Casio to create The Hundreds x G-Shock GW-M5610TH-1 . The latest collaboration with the Los Angeles brand features a negative dispay, black bezel, white strap with custom The Hundreds printing and multiband6 time synchronisation. No word on release yet although rumours suggest it will be dropping March or April. To celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Japanese TV fantasy series Ultra Seven (which itself was a follow up to Ultraman) G-Shock Japan are releasing this super limited ULTRASEVEN x G-Shock DW-6900FS. This follows the release of the ULTRAMAN x G-Shock DW-5600 45th Anniversaty edition last year. The new model feature a black band bezel with Ultra-seven graphics, a red dial, Ultra-seven EL and custom Ultra-seven packaging. Pre-order start on 1st March 2012, retail is ¥18900.
