Interesting, where have you seen recommended washing up liquid? It is pretty astringent and I'd also think it be bad to use on a watch. Normally use normal hand soap and rinse thoroughly. Suspect there may be something better out there (perhaps from the world of car detailing) but always...

Nice dilemma to have. For me the 9300 is streets ahead, especially in the GW-9300 variant with the carbon strap. It is a big watch though so it might be worth trying one on. From the two both are comfortable enough, find the 9300 wears fine despite its size.

Loving your work there, which parts did you use?

A fabric strap with adapters would be the obvious answer to get a smaller strap. Not sure if you'd find another G strap which would fit. You could always trim the current strap down.
