Chrisek, way to represent. Glad to hear about the good news for your mother. I lost my mother two years ago to breast cancer after being stricken with the disease for 19 years. However, I refuse to use the term that she lost her battle to cancer. She fought like hell to be around for her loved ones and to be around long enough to make an impression my children. Boy did she ever. She taught me that true strength does not come from muscle or machismo, but from heart and strength of character. She was simultaneously the kindest person I ever knew, and the strongest person I ever knew. I wish your entire family the best. Cherish every moment, and embrace the struggle as part of your journey.
