This watch is what the Lo.wer could have been - quality leather work with a premium G-Shock inside. But this is placing a very high price on the leather work and, as far as can be seen to date, with none of the sense of fun of the guys in NZ.

Also concur it lacks the fun Lower brought to their collab. Interesting to see G-Shock collaborating with someone who might not have been considered a traditional partner though.

So we have a saddler who has the means of making similar leatherwork ...

I wonder if he has signed anything to say that he won't produce the same for the open market? As far as I can see the watch in the leatherback combo is a nice but standard aviation series piece. The protection offered is similar to that of the bezel itself, the solar cells seem to be open to the light.

I may canvass my friends to see if anyone knows (or is) a leatherworker looking for an interesting piece to work on ...
