@Gary: it'll be nice to check out syncing in daily life. Both LUW and I do not live in a sync - able area for Waveceptor (Brazil and Hawaii respectively). So for us it might be more interesting.

This is a great watch for travellers as the GPS will also auto adjust when traveling through different times zones. $1000 is not bad compared to the $2700 for the Seiko.

Looks like another solid rendition from the Aviator line of watches; or maybe they decide to release it as a different family of watches. we are more than likely looking at the next standard of atomic time keeping. Think of the possibilities behind this technology. I know Uncle Sam uses something similar for target acquisition and long range engagement.

Its been around for a bit.. Retails for around $1000USD. The GPS works with the Atomic clock to keep accurate time. Designed for those areas were the atomic signal is not accessible... I believe it consumes too much power to be Tough Solar..

This is actually a very low power consumption version of the technology. Not position tracking like GPS we are used to but just enough to tell time zone and sync time, so it isn't as power hungry as the GPS devices we are used to. It is solar powered, Supposedly a newer version of their solar technology as well.
