g shock mudmaster - question about the wrist band

am I correct to assume the band is just basic resin? ( no carbon fiber or anyting special?)

if so, can anyone vouch forh ow strong it is and how many quality years I can expect out of the band on this watch?

one last thing: from anyone that owns it: whats your overall opinion of the watch?

Everyone keeps talking about the strength of this and durability of that. Why does it matter? I think it's safe to assume that most people would get tired from any specific g shock and move on to another before any part of it will break

Mudmaster is a great, great watch. Obviously the looks is a personal thing but the built quality and features of the watch are just.. GREAT!!

I believe the GWG-1000 and GG-1000 have the same resin band. I've only had it for a week, but it appears to be very durable. It is also a little stiffer than the band on my Rangeman and Gravitymaster. It is not carbon fiber like one of my Rangemans, but does have a texture to it.
