    Fake Alert GW-3500 on Ebay.

G-Shocks have a certain style and crispness. Design is normally a good balance of shapes and fonts and the materials used for construction are high quality. This looks wrong!

    Fake 001s?

Fake. But convincing at a glance. Pictures are tightly cropped, probably because the strap may be a give away. LCD colours are wrong and the description is carefully worded so as to wriggle out of any litigation. The low buy it now is a dead giveaway!

Amazon Sale prices on some warches

Amazon UK watch sale "up to 80% off" - unfortunately not on our favourite brand though there are reductions from RRP on quite a lot of stuff - judge for yourself how keen (or not) the prices are...

    Fake GX-56??

The watch is apparently Multiband 6 according to the second picture. That would make it a GXW-56, surely the seller would have noticed this if the watch was genuineand he was reading the model number of the watch back or hang tag. The tin is no longer a reliable indicator of authenticity, have...

    MTG-900 or G9100-1

For G-Shocks you may be better off buying individual tools as there aren't too many required. Not to clued up about the watch repairer supply shops in Arizona but I suspect there aren't that many. A good quality Phillips head screwdriver #PH000 is the main tool you will need for taking the...

    Favorite G-shock - with a twist

It would probably take me so long to choose between them all that I would perish in the flames along with them :D

    Non paying eBayer

So - do we need a name and shame section somewhere then? Possible legal implications but ... 1970-david dconway40@gmail.com I'm not having a good fortnight :( - sold a car on eBay and after a week the buyer informed me he wasn't going to collect "as my wife doesn't want me to have it"...

    Non paying eBayer

Not having a brilliant time at the moment. Non-paying bidder on a car and now one on a watch. 0200 this morning a zero feedback (but member for a year) eBayer in the UK hit the buy it now on a watch. He then sent a message saying he would make an offer - had disregarded the best offer button...

    WRUW : 7th May -> 13th May

Still wearing my beater, GW-500U. Brilliant for weather forecasting. If sky is same tone as strap it is about to rain If watch is covered in small spots of water it is drizzling If watch is covered with large drops it is p%**ing down.

    First custom project

Wot you said! :D Not a problem at the moment on 6900 and the like and if the strap is flexible enough to slip a watch body in then I don't see it lasting as well as a new bezel/band combo. Price is reasonable and if the source of resin dries up these may be a solution, just not needed at present.

Don't know. Maybe could ask for five as samples at trade price and we can have fun with tricking out some old DW-6900s

    eBay Casio DEP-500 Depth Meter

I think my love of big watches came from wearing wrist mounted dive computers of which this is a very early precursor. It would be great if Casio made a froggie dive computer - it measures depth during the dives and calculates remaining bottom time before decompression stops are necessary in...

I have an opportunity to import and distribute these: http://theslingshox.com/ but not 100% convinced of the market. Of course, if there are hundreds of UK members clamouring in here for them I will go for it :D

Watch buying advice for a confused newbie

99.9% feedback and number of transactions looks good - very difficult not to get a couple of negatives from over 7000 deals and sometimes the ones leaving bad feedback are total muppets ... Not dealt with them before. At a rough guess you will be spending £220 plus Paypal rate of exchange say...

Fake Alert Quite possibly the worst GW-9300 Mudman fakre EVER

I like it :D Thinking of starting a collection of analog frogs and muddies. There are quite a few Casi0, Cassio and Asio watches around. Found this on cracked.com in a photoshop competition for "if internet emails were true". Subtle P.S. - no pictures from me for a while, phone and credit...

New Smart Access G-Shock GW-A1000 Aviator

/when you change modes on the normal Casio analogs like the GW-3000 the hands move to take up the new position for the new function (stopwatch, timer etc.) like the old film cliches of time passing - the hands rotate as if telling the time vastly speeded up. Smart access moves each hand...
