I got my Mudmaster Monday so I can't say how quickly it discharges. I can tell you my Rangemans and Gravity Master have been put out to charge for 6 hrs Direct Florida Sunlight one time within a year. As long as they are exposed to some form of light, they will charge even if minimally.

Not sure but I can tell you all of the Rangemans with the Carbon Fiber band have an odd discoloration at the 1 o'clock position. I thought it was a defect in the crystal at first, but then noticed it on all of them online.

The 6 months and 9 months refers to how long the Solar watch can run without being charged by sunlight. I place mine outside for a few hours and hit High on the battery level.

I have been looking for something less "tactical". I really like the features off the Gulfmaster GWN1000E-8A and the color is amazing. It is not really white. It has a very light gray color to it.

Press the Barometer/Altitude/Compass button. When the Temperature is displayed in the secondary display- press/hold the "Adjust" button (top left button) until the Temp is flashing. Use the "Reverse" button (top right) to lower the Temp or "Forward" (button right) to raise the Temp.

Both you have selected are Mudman series G-Shocks and are extremely durable. I work in a Jail and deal with everything from extremely strong chemicals, to physical stressors and my "resin" band G-Shocks hold up great.

I believe the GWG-1000 and GG-1000 have the same resin band. I've only had it for a week, but it appears to be very durable. It is also a little stiffer than the band on my Rangeman and Gravitymaster. It is not carbon fiber like one of my Rangemans, but does have a texture to it.
