Yeah, is basically right. The Dw-5000C was the first production G-Shock back in '83. Don't think it was made in huge numbers either, although it's more common than the G-Shock WW-5100 and WW-5300 which are super rare early Gs.

Anyone on here have a good (or complete) collection of 'sets'. By this I mean Every version of a particular model, e.g. every GW-9300 (or how about every DW-6900!) Every version of a Casio set, like the Men in Militrary Colors or Love The Sea and Earth packs. One of each Frogman, Mudman...

Damn, those dyed jellys look good. Think I may have to give one a go one day. Thanks :) The G-9300 is a great watch on its own :) However the GW with the carbon strap and multiband6 is pretty cool too.

@terryjames. Nice work on the DW-003 reconstruction. You are right, it never ends. You'll be looking for more spares to fix the watches you bought for spares and so it goes on :) King with the positive display looking good too :)

Not seen (or noticed) the card which you can wrap the watch around. All the latest Gs I've had in seem to have had the foam case and inserts (and have come in tins). Although can't recall if the Gs which arrived in card boxes have a foam or not...
