Sounds like you have everything set correctly but the atomic sync is just being weird... As a workaround perhaps you could try setting your city to a central time one instead of NYC eastern time? It may then give you the correct time as it should be an hour behind. Atomic sync should be still...

Looks legit to me... I see a three character day indicator on the front unlike the two character one that fakes have which is a tell tale sign. The pics are a bit grainy but looks real to me. Hope that helps!

The LT indicator is for the full auto EL feature. When you tilt your wrist towards you the EL backlight will automatically activate when it's dark. Quite a useful feature! Toggle it on or off by pressing and holding the centre light button for about 4 seconds.
