Is the G-Shock DW-6600 officially discontinued?

Given rumours on various forums and the lack of stock in most online vendors it looks like the venerable DW-6600 is discontinued. Anyone seen official word on this? Some are already trying to cash in on the 'rare' DW-6600. Either way it's a shame if they have

I'd also noted that seller had a lot of DW-6600 for sale, along with a fake BAPE (nice!).
